Quilt of Valor

Quilt of Valor from Berekley Hall School KindergartnersA "quilt of valor" made by 23 Berkeley Hall School kindergartners was presented to representatives of UCLA's Operation Mend on March 23, 2012. Teacher Barbara DeNisi supervised the Los Angeles school's project, which is in keeping with the military tradition of giving service members injured in Iraq and Afghanistan homemade quilts for warmth and comfort. Each square contains a tracing of a student's hand surrounded by a heart, and the 24th square in the bottom right-hand corner reads, "We salute you with our hands and love you with our hearts."
