Florence Brawer Cohen, MA ’62, EdD ’67, passed away on September 5, 2014, at the age of 91. She received both her master’s degree and doctorate from the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies and, along with her husband, UCLA Professor Emeritus Arthur M. Cohen, PhD, was a generous benefactor of UCLA and the health sciences.

The couple has been especially dedicated to supporting scholarships and fellowships and established the Arthur M. Cohen and Florence Brawer Cohen Scholarship at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA to benefit medical students with financial need, particularly those in their fourth year of studies interested in pursuing careers in primary care.
